Tom’s Mock NFL Draft 2023 and Other Foolery
Let’s face it the Houston Texans fooled everyone in this year’s 2023 NFL Draft. At least Tom Foolery got more picks right than Mel Kiper.
I am not sure if anyone had the Texans taking C.J. Stroud. They held their hand close to their chest. And then they doubled down and got Will Anderson Jr.
Our primary focus in the draft, of course, is on Who Dey. The Bengals pick up Myles Murphey in the first round. Tom had him at a 13 or 14th-grade pick. So as he said, “That is a steal at 28.” Our Mock Draft had the Bengals selecting Jahmyr Gibbs 28th, but the Lions swept him up early. Earlier than most expected. Tom Foolery and I debate the value of running backs on our show. We are torn. I argue that a running back should never be a first-round draft pick, and never be signed to a second deal. Tom has other ideas.
